"Expertly Addressing Your Most Common Questions"

  • Is it necessary for me to be at the property while the painting and decorating is taking place?
No, our highly professional team often work while the homeowner is working or outside normal business hours. Upon the completion of the job, we can lock-up and set the alarm on your behalf.
  • What kind of preparation is carried out?
Our team inspect the wall and ceiling and fill in any holes or cracks. We also ensure all stains – like water stains – are removed before the painting and decorating project begins. Where damp may be a factor, the surface area is treated with mould resistant solutions. All wood is sanded down before the project begins.
  • What Type/Brand of Paint is Used?
The paint type is discussed with you before the project begins. Depending on the specifics of the job, we can recommend the appropriate paint type. Typically we recommend Johnstone’s, Dulux and Farrow & Ball.
  • What happens if I don’t like the colour I pick?
How a colour looks on a wall can be affected by the lighting within the space. To make sure you make the right choice, we always put up some colour samples before a decision is made, which helps the client to visualize how the colour will look in regards to the space and the available lighting.
  • How do I go about Getting a Quote?
Just get in contact with us, tell us your requirements and we will get back to you with a quote as quickly as possible.
  • Should I use Oil or Acrylic Paint on my Wood?
Oil is hard wearing and usually gives a better finish. However, acrylic dries much faster and is much friendlier on the environment. We can make recommendations but ultimately the decision is yours.
  • I Don’t Know What Paint Brand I Should Use?
The better the brand the better the result. We recommend – and work extensively with -- Johnstone’s, Dulux and Farrow & Ball.
  • My Windows Have Just Been Painted. How Long Should I Wait Before I Clean
Once the painting job is completed and the paint has dried, you can clean your windows.
  • What Should I do With Leftover Paint Cans?
Paint is a corrosive material that should be disposed of responsibly. As part of our service, we remove and dispose of all paint cans.
  • We Have Recently Got Our Exterior Walls Painted And Now The Paint is Bubbling And Peeling! Can You Fix It?
Bubbling and peeling paint can be due to lime-based plaster, or the walls were not stabilised before the painting began. In cases of bubbling or peeling paint we can offer a range of painting solutions to remedy the problem.
